Our sand casting process can successfully cast small to medium serial items in a wide variaty of alloys. We individual castings in our hand-moulding shop and use our boxless, cold-resin block moulding plant or automatic core block moulding machine for large production runs.

3D Printing System – Innovative Possibilities. 

Our innovative 3D printing system allows for new possibilities: Based on CAD data we are able to produce sand moulds and cores for prototypes, single spare parts and complex serial parts. Not only are the development times reduced, pattern costs are eliminated and our customers benefit from increased engineering opportunities.

GRATE BAR

Characteristics

Up to 15 different types
Material: G-X 40 CrSi 29 (1.4776) and additional heat-resistant steel casting materials

Target Setting

Grate bar in heat-resistant steel casting, which takes into account the fluctuating and extreme requirements of incinerator plants. The following, in particular, are required: long life during burning, scaling, melting, good wear and abrasion resistance, mechanically well machinable.

Solution

Manufacture on the cold resin sand casting plant. Fast changes of the pattern to be cast. Our wide range of materials allows us to quickly fulfil the plant-specific and very high materials requirements.

WEAR PLATE

Target Setting

Fast delivery of a casting which is time-consuming to machine. High level of wear resistance, supplied pre-finished as plating for the interior channels of pumped liquids, strict tolerances.

Solution

Deployment of our materials experience with martensitic chrome molybdenum alloyed cast iron. Can be well machined in a soft-annealed condition, unlike other chilled cast alloys (e.g. Ni-Hard 4): After casting in the manual casting facility, the wear plates are soft-annealed and pre-machined. Subsequent hardening and annealing with particular provision for low distortion to at least 60 HRC. Post-machining to high tolerances. Our high-performance machining provides specialised know-how concerning turning and drilling operations on soft-annealed and hardened material.

QUICK COUPLING

Target Setting

In the pre-machined delivered condition, the machined surfaces must be completely free of pores.

Solution

Constant testing of mould sand quality and the coating used as well as very close monitoring of the steel melt ensures that inclusions in the cast part are kept to a minimum.

Target Setting

High surface quality and dimensional accuracy, hardened to over 60 HRC.

Solution

Precise mould production and accurate application of the coating provide the basis for meeting the very strict requirements for dimensional accuracy and surface quality. With continuous hardness of over 60 HRC, this part is optimally suited as a lining for blasting machines.
